We were delighted to be at the starting line of Care UK’s Ride 800 cycle ride from their most southerly care home, The Potteries in Broadstone, Dorset to their most northerly care home Tor Na Dee, in Aberdeen, Scotland on Tuesday 2nd May.
Andrew Knight, chief executive residential care, Jacqui White, marketing director, and Tony Weedon, strategic programme director, will spend 15 days cycling along the 800 mile journey. They will visit 26 Care UK homes where team members and residents have been planning fundraising events and decorating old bicycles to provide a traditional welcome for the intrepid riders.
The three charities to benefit from the fundraising will be Care Workers Charity, Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Scotland and we are proud to be supporting such worthy causes.
