DDC Dolphin’s first Corporate Golf Day in aid of Julia’s House charity was a huge success, and it was an absolutely perfect day for a game of golf.
After registration, bacon baps and coffee the first team tee'd off at 9:00am. The standard of golf was high with most players achieving or beating their handicaps.
Winners of the Individual competition was Manev Gidar with Stefan Drapan in second place and George Osbourne third. The overall winning team trophy went to Stefan Drapan and Jeff Blackwell, while nearest the pin was won by Allan Redfern. We also ran a Pink Ball competition alongside the main competition, the winning team receiving a macerator full of wine which went to Patrick Graham, Johnathan Caldwell and Stuart Freeman.
There were 4 players who beat the pro, all who generously donated their winnings to the charity.
Sue Miles from Julia’s House was there and spoke about the wonderful work the charity does supporting families of children with life threatening and life limiting illnesses. We are still totalling up our final numbers, but on the last count we had already reached our target of £500 for the charity.
We would like to send a huge thank you to all of our customers and suppliers who attended the day and made it a such great success.
