Care Home Owners

Maintain Excellent Standards Throughout Your Care Home

Managing your care home responsibly means you must balance budgets carefully, and always look for the most cost-efficient solution – without compromising on quality.

Bedpan washer disinfectors and medical pulp macerators waste little water or electricity, so you can stay in control of your utilities.

Finance solutions are also available when you purchase your new sluice room machinery, so you needn’t choose between the most appropriate product and cost.

Care Home Owners | DDC Dolphin

DDC Dolphin working with Care Home Facilities & Estates

With your new sluice room machinery in place, you can be sure to keep standards high and pass CQC inspections with ease, by ensuring excellent infection control processes.

When you take out 360° Care Cover with DDC Dolphin, you’ll be able to demonstrate your compliance with servicing and maintenance records. There’s no risk of being caught short on ‘off days’ – machines are reliable, with dependable service and maintenance cover to match.

In addition, you can be furnished with full reporting on the condition of your machine, as well as the frequency and type of callouts, allowing you to plan your asset requirements and manage your CAPEX budget accordingly.

If there’s a variable level of knowledge and experience in your staff, DDC Dolphin can provide training to use macerators and washer disinfectors effectively.

This will increase overall awareness of infection control issues, as well as their role in the prevention cycle, so everybody in your workforce feels confident.

With these measures in place, you’ll keep your residents happy and healthy, as well as lowering staff turnover. Carers aren’t put under the pressure of HCAI outbreaks, which reduces strain on resources, as well as personal risk.

DDC Dolphin’s expansive range of units will suit all kinds of different setups. So, regardless of whether you require a sluice room or en suite solution, there are plenty of models to suit individual needs within your premises.

The Challenge

Following the successful collaboration between DDC Dolphin and New Care Projects for the supply and service of sluice room equipment at The Grand, New Care Projects then appointed DDC Dolphin to design 3 sluice rooms for their new specialist care home, Ashlands Manor.

This new generation care facility would provide the highest standards in safety, comfort and care within an expertly designed, purpose-built environment. DDC Dolphin were contracted to design and fully install each of the sluice rooms using the most advanced Panamatic bedpan washer disinfectors, stainless steel furniture and accompanying accessories.

The Solution

DDC Dolphin prides itself on being able to supply a unique, one-stop-shop methodology to sluice room design and installation, and our products encompass a wide range of features to meet our customers’ specific needs.

Quality engineered Panamatic Midi bedpan washer-disinfectors were supplied to Ashlands Manor, each featuring patented hands-free technology and antimicrobial surfaces to greatly reduce the risk of cross contamination, along with high-grade stainless steel furniture and accessories.

Upon completion of the project a comprehensive service program would form the basis of an ongoing service and maintenance agreement, fully reinforced by an extensive team of qualified engineers.

The Outcome

“I spent a lot of time selecting the correct supplier for our care facilities. A crucial factor is the relationship between us and our supplier, and we are confident that DDC Dolphin can supply quality, reliable products and services. The service level we have received from them has been outstanding on both projects; not just from a buying point of view, but also the aftercare and maintenance of the equipment. We have been very impressed with all aspects of our dealings with DDC Dolphin and long-term, on all future projects, DDC Dolphin will be our preferred supplier.”

Care UK

Care UK are a leading independent provider of health and social care and have been providing high quality care for older people for over 30 years. With over 100 care homes and day clubs across the UK, they provide a wide range of expert care to older people including day and residential care nursing for respite, dementia and end of life care. This enables more than 7,000 people to continue living active and independent lives in warm, safe and comfortable surroundings.

The Challenge

Care UK embarked on a project in March 2015 to replace a large number of existing bedpan washer disinfectors and medical pulp macerators sourced from various suppliers over the years throughout Care UK properties. DDC Dolphin had already been servicing Care UK machines for a number of years and were invited to tender for the project. The successful tender would need to remove and dispose of existing equipment and supply and install new equipment, with all work to be completed by the end of August 2015.

The Solution

DDC Dolphin’s tender was a winner with Care UK. Care UK selected DDC Dolphin to have complete peace of mind by knowing that their newly replaced washer disinfectors and pulp macerators were of the highest quality, provided by a company with over 25 years’ experience, and able to offer comprehensive advice and support.

With a dedicated project manager assigned to the project, the first undertaking was a site survey on each property by a DDC Dolphin trained site engineer. The site survey would check the suitability of plumbing and waste outlets in preparation for the removal of old, and installation and commissioning of new machines. All machines would then be scheduled for replacement within the agreed time scales.

The solution from DDC Dolphin included a two-year service and maintenance contract, specifically tailored to the budget and requirements of Care UK. With a service contract in place, Care UK would benefit from faster response times for call-outs and regular maintenance and service visits, ensuring minimum downtime for the machines and time and cost savings.

The Outcome

“We have been really impressed with the service and professionalism shown by DDC Dolphin in all aspects of this project. Having visited their site offices and factory, we were impressed by the culture of the business and their complete dedication to the supply of sluice rooms to the care industry. Their ability to give comprehensive support and advice on planning throughout the project convinced us that we have definitely selected the right people for the job, and we look forward a long and mutually beneficial relationship with them.”
