Regional Account Manager – South East
The opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Account Manager to take real ownership of their territory, build lasting customer relationships and make a clear contribution to DDC’s continued growth.
Joining our UK Care team, you will manage an established customer portfolio while actively developing new business across care home groups, independent operators and individual sites.
You will have the scope to shape your territory plan, identify untapped opportunities and grow sales across DDC’s expanding range of products and services. We are looking for someone who brings energy, initiative and commercial drive, supported by a consultative approach and a commitment to excellent customer care.
Key responsibilities
- Develop your territory: Create and deliver a focused regional sales plan, mapping customers and prospects, prioritising opportunities and balancing account development with new business activity.
- Grow existing accounts: Build account plans that increase revenue, strengthen customer retention and expand DDC’s share of business across equipment, refurbishment projects, moving and handling solutions and service agreements.
- Win new business: Proactively prospect, develop contact networks and convert enquiries, marketing activity, referrals and service engineer leads into sales.
- Build influential relationships: Engage stakeholders across customer organisations, from care home managers to procurement, estates, operational leaders and group decision makers.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions: Understand customers’ infection prevention, risk management and operational priorities, bringing together DDC’s equipment, installation, training and ongoing servicing to deliver a complete solution.
- Manage opportunities to completion: Coordinate surveys, demonstrations and trials, prepare accurate proposals, negotiate within agreed guidelines and close business.
- Deliver commercial results: Achieve agreed revenue, margin, new business and service agreement targets, while proactively managing renewals and retention.
- Maintain a strong pipeline: Keep CRM records accurate, record clear next actions and provide reliable forecasts, competitor intelligence and market feedback.
- Work collaboratively: Partner with Customer Services, Service, Operations and Marketing to ensure effective handovers, smooth onboarding and responsive customer support.
- Represent DDC: Promote the business professionally at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
About You

- The ambition and initiative to take ownership of a territory and turn opportunities into measurable results.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging decision makers at site and group level.
- A consultative sales approach, commercial awareness and effective presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisation, territory planning and time management, with a disciplined approach to CRM and follow-up.
- Resilience, accountability and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
Experience within the care home, healthcare or related sectors is desirable, particularly with multi-site customers, equipment sales or service agreements.
